Julie Curtain loves Australia and the need to capture its magic has driven this self taught artist to embark on many journeys in search of inspiration for her work.

Born 1963, Julie Curtain was raised in New Zealand and later travelled to India and Australia, finally settling in Esperance Western Australia where she now lives with her family.

Julie Curtain Art is a celebration of Australia's beach culture and all that goes with it is explored in magnificent beach scenes.

Julie Curtain has a unique contemporary style that is refreshingly uncomplicated and strongly influenced by her love of nature.

More recently Julie Curtain has included traditional still life paintings depicting fruit and various flora in her works.

Kalgoorle Goldfields 2007 CalendarJulie's Kalgoorlie Goldfields 2007 Calendar, featured 12 iconic scenes and locations from the Goldfields Region.

Julie Curtain captured iconic Kalgoorlie - Boulder scenes, such as the Paddy Hannan statue, the Superpit and the old Two-Up shed.

The original oil paintings for the calendar were exhibited at the Silky Pear Art Gallery, in Boulder, and the Barrista Cafe, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.

The Icons of Esperance 2009 Calendar, featured 12 iconic images of Esperance. The original artwork included paintings of our famous Sammy and the Tanker Jetty, Dempster Head, Twilight Cove, The Bijou Theatre, Taylor Street Tearooms and Frenchman Peak.
